Pachymetry

The use of laser surgery for the correction of visual impairments may not be suitable for every patient. For this, it is necessary to check whether the corneal thickness is adequate. Measurement of corneal thickness prior to laser surgery and glaucoma treatment is called pachymetry. It can also be used for the diagnosis of certain eye diseases. During the use of the device, there is no contact with any instrument on the eye; thanks to this completely computer-assisted system, the measurement is completed quickly.
